Welcome! What is an Amphicar, you might ask? The Amphicar is the first mass produced civilian amphibious vehicle. Production started in 1961 and ended in 1968 with only 3,787 Amphicars manufactured. Today they are a rare collectible car, but not the type you would restore and just show off behind a glass wall; the Amphicar is the kind of car you would go out and have fun in even today!

This particular Amphicar was made in 1964. It was purchased in September 2005 as a complete rust bucket. In 11 months it was made watertight again and driveable. Most of the restoration is complete now except a lot of cosmetic details that are still being worked on.

Whats new? Well I've been pretty busy at college all year but summer is back and it's time to update the site more! I never got around to getting up pictures from the Taunton Swim-In so I'm going to get that done very soon. A brand new interior for our Amphicar just came in so check back soon for pictures of that as well. I'm hoping to have this site very busy with updates all summer!
